Norman Fox held a two week back to school drive on its main offices in Industry, CA. Team members from various departments from Purchasing to Customer Service to Environmental, Health, Safety & Sustainability to Sales and Marketing all joined in on the cause: to help children within the Hacienda- La Puente School District have access to school supplies.
The Norman Fox Mission
Social responsibility is at the core of our mission. Through fostering a positive work environment and promoting social responsibility, we aim to create value for our customers, employees, and communities.
Our Team
Helping others is in the DNA of our Norman Fox team. From donating gently used clothes to shelter organizations to collecting cans and non-perishable foods for those in need during Thanksgiving season, helping students with their school supplies was no exception.
Last Friday, Norman Fox’s President, Stephen Halpin, and Marketing Manager, Velvet Arriola, stopped by the Hacienda-La Puente Unified School District (HLPUSD), Equity and Access Family Engagement office to drop off boxes full of school supplies to help with the Mckinney-Vento, Foster and Probation students.
Love in Action
The HLPUSD, Equity and Access Department provides school supplies and hygiene products year-round to students in the program within the district. Their mission is to “ensure that each student receives the support they need to succeed and flourish in every aspect of their lives.” Just last year alone, they were able to provide supplies for 1,000 students and are looking to help even more students this year.
We would like to thank Martha Calderon, Director of Equity & Access, Flor Lazcano, Sr. Office Assistant, and Maritza Cabezas, District Homeless Liaison, and their team for the commendable work that they do in giving children the opportunity to succeed. Their work is truly “Love in Action”!
