Partnering for a Greener Future: Norman Fox’s Earth Day Tribute to Sustainable Suppliers

At Norman Fox, our commitment to sustainability is ingrained in every aspect of our operations. Through initiatives like Chemical Educational Foundation’s You Be the Chemist, we actively engage in raising awareness about environmental issues within our community. We prioritize waste management and resource conservation through comprehensive recycling efforts for cardboard, paper, and organic waste. Energy efficiency is a cornerstone of our practices, evident in our use of facility lighting with motion sensors and reconditioned drums and totes. Water conservation is paramount, and we employ dedicated equipment to minimize waste during cleaning processes. Environmental compliance is non-negotiable, and we have plans in place for pollution prevention and spill control.

This Earth Day, we are celebrating the sustainability efforts of our suppliers by planting 5 trees in recognition of their hard work towards sustainability, contributing to reforestation and underscoring our commitment to environmental restoration. Through these concerted efforts, we set a standard for environmental responsibility, driving towards a more sustainable future.

We have made a deliberate choice to acknowledge and celebrate the efforts of five partners, recognizing the importance of sourcing from those deeply committed to sustainability. Norman Fox is planting five trees in dedication to these suppliers, symbolizing our appreciation and support for their environmental stewardship. These tree dedications not only contribute to reforestation efforts, but also assist in ongoing fire prevention initiatives, as facilitated through our collaboration with Tree People. While last year’s tree dedications honored our founding fathers, this year, we proudly redirect this gesture towards our suppliers, affirming our shared commitment to fostering a greener, more sustainable future.

Please allow us to introduce our five esteemed suppliers:

Our purpose and strategy

– At LYB, we embrace sustainability as an opportunity to create value for our stakeholders, the environment and society.

– We have embedded sustainability into our new company strategy and progressed our sustainability-focused ambitions, while remaining laser-focused on safety, operational excellence and value creation. This strategy consists of coordinated, simultaneous action across three pillars: growing and upgrading our core, building a profitable circular and low carbon solutions (CLCS) business, and stepping up performance and culture.

– Our new strategy aligns our long-term plans to maximize value creation with our ambition to lead the sustainability transformation of our industry and help meet growing customer demand for low-carbon, recycled and renewable-based products.

– At LYB, sustainability lives within the core of who we are. Our passionate people care for the world around them and are making everyday sustainability a reality.

Our sustainability approach

– Foundational to the success of our strategy is our continued focus on three critical sustainability challenges: helping end plastic waste, taking climate action and supporting a thriving society.

– Helping end plastic waste: As a leader in the global chemical industry, we understand the critical role plastics play in society. They enhance people’s lives by enabling many core applications, from healthcare and housing to food packaging and sustainable transportation. However, plastic pollution is a critical issue and we recognize the need for our industry to move faster. This is why we are accelerating our efforts to innovate, scale and deliver solutions to turn post-use plastics into everyday products and enable a circular economy.
